“How hard I tried (to do well, to show up and be present, to show respect), how much I truly cared (about them, the work, learning), and everything it took for me to ‘perform’ in the classroom the way I did (the sacrifice, the sleepless nights, the compromises, everything behind the scenes I had to overcome).”
Shea Piro grew up in Dripping Springs, Texas, where she attended public schools and graduated to become a scholarship student-athlete and volleyball team captain at Tarleton State in Stephenville, Texas. She holds master’s degrees from Tarleton State and the University of Southern California. Her professional career has been shaped by the selflessness to help others succeed, with numerous roles in real estate, employee relations, and human resources. Shea is currently the Learning and Development Lead at Pagaya, a product-based tech company building a fairer financial landscape, and she lives in Austin with her family.
